RICHARD A. HERMAN, ESQ
attorney - mediator - arbitrator
Mr. Herman counsels and represents clients in broad ranging and diverse types of matters. His primary concentration is in real estate, estate planning and probate, and business counseling and transactions. In addition to representing his own clients, Richard also serves as a neutral mediator and arbitrator of civil, employment and probate disputes.
Prior to entering private practice, Richard gained expensive experience in the public sector and academia. He has served as a Deputy Attorney General of New Jersey, Special Counsel to the New York State Legislature on regulatory reform and as a Special People's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China.
Richard was a Professor of Law at Albany Law School and served as Chairman of Curriculum. He was an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Miami, Instructor at the University of Miami Law School, and has also given guest lectures at William Paterson University. Richard continues to present credited professional development courses for practicing attorneys within the New Jersey State Bar Association, Bergen County Bar Association and New York State Bar Association.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers College, Richard obtained his Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude with Law Review Honors, from the University of Miami. He completed additional coursework through New York University's LLM program with a focus on labor law.
Richard is currently an active member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, Passaic County Bar Association, and the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators. Mr. Herman also serves as a Trustee and Treasurer of Northeast New Jersey Legal Services.
CATHERINE HERMAN

Ms. Herman has more than 25 years of experience in real estate law and manages the practice for the firm. In addition to her ABA Paralegal Certification, Cathie has extensive business acumen in sales, marketing, financial matters, and most notably, education consulting and advocacy.
Prior to entering the business and advocacy realm, Cathie was an elementary school teacher. That experience has substantially influenced her community and philanthropic endeavors. She was elected and served on the Wayne Township Board of Education for 11 years, and as President for four terms. She is currently a Trustee of the Wayne Free Public Library and is President of the Wayne Free Public Library Foundation.
Cathie attended UCLA and SUNY where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English. Her favorite hobby is spending time with and spoiling her granddaughters.
